McKinney Fires Back-Updated

Published by Karl at 5:19 pm under Idiots, Liberals, Politics, hollywierd, racism

UPDATE 4 *bumped*

In non related but fun news, we see McKinney has admitted to breaking the law(hat tip: Orbusmax):

McKinney Admits Misusing Taxpayer Money

Rep. Cynthia McKinney admits that she broke government rules by spending money to fly a celebrity to Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News has uncovered documents showing McKinney, D-Ga., spent about $1,000 of taxpayer’s money to fly singer Isaac Hayes to Georgia to help dedicate a new office in Atlanta.

I suppose that will be the fault of White Cops too?  Laughing

UPDATE 3

See the video of her and her attorney on CNN.

Of note, her lawyer denies that the Capital Hill police are seeking an arrest, despite other reports.  She also dismisses the whole lapel pin issue, making it agtain into a personal issue.

http://www.exposetheleft.net/video/mckinney-cnn.wmv

She is completely unhinged.

UPDATE 2:

Michelle Malkin continues her ongoing coverage of the McKinney case.  Two things of note.

First, Drudge is reporting that an arrest warrent has been requested:

Capitol police ask for arrest warrant for McKinney

WASHINGTON — Capitol Hill police on Monday asked a federal prosecutor to approve an arrest warrant for Rep. Cynthia McKinney for her role in a scuffle with a police officer last week, the prosecutor’s office confirmed.

Capitol Police had no immediate comment so it’s not yet known whether the intent is to file felony or misdemeanor assault charges against McKinney, a DeKalb County Democrat.

McKinney’s staff, of course, responded….

Coz Carson, a spokesman for McKinney, said the requested warrant should be dismissed if "this is a prosecutor who’s not a politician."

"Any prosecutor with any sense can look at this thing and understand that it’s not something that should be blown out of proportion any further," Carson said.

Of course.  What a nice way to lay down a self fullfilled prophecy.

And this post from lindasog.com with a picture of Cynthia’s credentials.  I took the liberty of posting it below.

That explains her staff’s comments above fairly well.

This comment also sums it up:

…black preachers, elected officials and activists in Atlanta cited McKinney’s recent run-in with Capitol police as an example of racial profiling and called what happened to her disrespectful.

Indeed.  If you have predetermined you will be a victim in every altercation with authority, if you approach every confrontation with that attitude, and if you deliberately force said confrontations to prove you are a victim,  then you will indeed be a victim of profiling:

Your Own!

UPDATE:  According to the press conference video, her supporters think she was set up, and that this is indicative of the state of race in America.

Maybe they are right.  Maybe the state of race in McKinney’s America means that any time you do some wrong, you can blame it on racism rather then admit you screwed up.

Idiots!  Remember Gump?  "Stupid is as stupid does."

See more info at Michelle Malkin and Sister Toldjah.

Unhinged Congresswoman McKinney has fired back against the Capital Hill Police in her continued attempts to avoid facing the music for her hubristic running of a security check point, and subsequent assault of a cop.

Rather then just admit she screwed up, she has made this a racial and sexist issue.

In a report from CNN she has now fired back against the police, and is demanding an investigation and is threatening a civil suit.

It reminds me of the immigration protests, where people here illegally are protesting the laws that say they are illegal, rather then deal with their crime of coming here illegally.  It seems to be the new mantra of America, where you can hate the law, but you must pander the law breaker.

McKinney: Race sparked tiff with police

As U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-Georgia, faces possible criminal charges for a Wednesday altercation with a Capitol Police officer, one of her lawyers said Friday that the real issues were "sex, race and Ms. McKinney’s progressiveness."

In a news conference featuring actor Danny Glover and singer Harry Belafonte, McKinney said she would be exonerated and that "this whole incident was instigated by the inappropriate touching and stopping of me, a female, black congresswoman."

During the conference, held at historically black Howard University in Washington, civil rights attorney James Myart said his client was "assaulted" by a Capitol Police officer, whose name the department refuses to release.

"Because she was assaulted and placed in impending fear of her safety, she responded," he said. "This case has just begun and we’re going to fight, and we’re going to use the U.S. Constitution."

Oh sure, now she is the victim.

Myart said McKinney would seek a criminal investigation against the officer, and a civil lawsuit against both the officer and the Capitol Police is being explored.

Myart further called the incident racial profiling and said there was "no excuse" for Capitol Police not recognizing his client, and Raffauf said she was stopped solely because of her race, gender and politics.

Members of Congress are allowed to bypass the metal detectors and security checkpoint. They are supposed to wear a lapel pin that identifies them as lawmakers. McKinney acknowledges she wasn’t wearing one when she was stopped, but concurred with Myart that police should know who she is.

"The pin is not the issue," the six-time congresswoman said. "The issue is face recognition."

No dipstick, the pin is the issue.  You admittedly are supposed to wear it and you didn’t.  Duh.  You are responsible for following the rules.

And this part cracked me up.  These two guys rushed to her defense even though they don’t know why.

Glover and Belafonte refrained from addressing the facts of the case and said they were there to support McKinney. Belafonte said he did not know what happened during the Wednesday incident but wanted to make sure the matter was handled on "a very fair and very square basis."

"We’ve watched her be abused in the past, and she’s overcome, stood strong," the outspoken Belafonte said. "We’re not going to be absent or indifferent to the fact that she may be abused again."

Added Glover, "We’re not here to judge the merits of the case, but here to support our sister."

Translation:  We don’t know what she did, but she is our sister (black), so she couldn’t have done it and if she did do it, it wasn’t her fault.

Hey Danny?  Sometimes being informed is a good idea…

I wonder, was the officer that tried to stop her white or black?  How about a little support for a cop trying to do his job in the face of a tyrannical bitch who considers herself above the law?

Hey Georgia?  Thanks!

Cynthia Mckinney is not a victim of racism…she and other black leaders that scream racism every time a black person commits a crime and is accused of that crime are the raists.  She and others like her are setting up a community that will always depend on using the race card to alleviate their self imposed bad situations.  What a shame that the black community not only reelects these distroyers of dignity but defends them blindly.
