May Day Rant
So today is May Day, what organizers are calling El Gran Boicot.
The day for millions of immigrant workers to take to the streets, shut down commerce with not only their absence, but their protest as well.
California has endorsed it. The NJ and NY Attorney Generals do too.
Whatever. The issue of illegal aliens are so far removed from reality that it is almost pointless to argue about it.
So fine, make your protest about against America’s soveirgnty in the best American tradition. All you are doing is taking all the people who are nuetral and pissing them off with your spoiled and selfish protests, and your complete disregard of not only law but common sense.
If there was any justice at all, your employers would fire your ungrateful asses as soon as you didnt show up for work.
I am sick of this. Let me say it quite clearly:
If you come to my country illegally, I do not owe you squat. If I tried the same in Mexico, if I walked in, and demanded health care and citizenship, I would likely be jailed and deported.
If you violate my nation’s borders I do not owe you instant citizenship, I owe you a bus ride back home. You violated our laws, and you are by definition a criminal. Period.
When you decided to rewrite my nation’s national anthem, I do not owe you thanks for making it more diverse and multicultural. You changed the meaning of it and violated the spirit of it to support your selfish agenda, so all I owe you is my scorn and my condemnation.
When you disrespect my nation’s symbols, expect that people will be angry. I am.
You say you love America, and want to be a part. Then do so as an honest citizen, walking in the front door openly, not as a criminal skulking in the back door, slinking in the shadows.
Employers: You who hire these undocumented workers are commiting criminal offenses. Period.
Those are the realities. Deal with it.
I love my country, and I can understand anyone wanting to come here. I would be the first to welcome you with open arms.
But only through the front door.
