Hey Mexico? Take your threats and…..
…Well, I will get to that in a second.
I heard this on the news, and then read it here on the web, with complete disbelief. I was speechless.
Mexico Threatens U.S. With Border Crisis Lawsuit
Sometimes I’m a bit slow to catch on, so bear with me because I’m baffled. The Mexican government is threatening to file lawsuits in the United States against the U.S. government if the government uses U.S. National Guard troops to enforce U.S. law.
What? We can’t use our own forces to enforce our own law in our own country? I keep forgetting that the Mexican president is a good friend of ours. Maybe something was lost in translation….
…and here:
National Guard on the Border: Mexican Government Prepared to File Lawsuit
A representative from Mexican President Vicente Fox claims that if the US National Guard troops detain illegal aliens crossing the US-Mexico border, the Fox government will file a lawsuit against the Bush Administration in US federal court.
And here too:
Mexico Threatens Suits Over Guard Patrols
Just when you thought the illegal invasion couldn’t get any more insulting…Mexico has the audacity to threaten lawsuits if we protect our country by using the National Guard to detain their invaders.
It seems inconceivable. How dare they tell us we cannot secure our border. The sheer hypocrisy here is galling, particularly when you find out the state of Mexico’s southern border:
Mexico accused of abusing its illegals
The State Department says that the Mexican government, angry that a thousand American volunteers will begin an Arizona border vigil next month, consistently violates the rights of illegal immigrants crossing its southern border into Mexico.
Many of the illegals in Mexico, who emigrate from Central and South America, complain of "double dangers" of extortion by Mexican authorities and robbery and killings by organized gangs.
But leave that aside for a moment. The world is filled with hypocrites, they have good company.
What pisses me off is that the Mexican government has shown a consistent pattern of behavior concerning our mutual border. They apparently feel they control it. And it is open all the time.
Now remember that they are being actively assisted by the Border Patrol who tells them where the Minutemen volunteers are worked so their people can avoid detention.
While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen — and telling the Mexican government where they are.
According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants — and if and when violence is used against border crossers.
Maybe it’s our own fault, we seem to like to kiss their butts a little too much.
Well I am sick of it. I want, no I demand our government pull their heads out of the sand and take this seriously.
We are a sovereign nation and can close our border anytime we choose. They have no right to cross it at their leisure, and if they choose to, we have every right to detain them. Period.
What they deserve is a bill, a very big one, for the cost of all the services and resources it takes to deal with their encouragement of reconquista…oh wait, someone already has given them one:
Sheriff tells Mexico to pay up
Out of ideas and low on cash one cold morning, the man with the biggest badge in town put his meaty fingers on a keyboard and tapped out a letter to the leader of Mexico.
"Dear Precidente [sic] Fox," it began.
"My name is John Trumbo. I am Sheriff of Umatilla County in northeastern Oregon, United States of America." Illegal immigrants "from your country" who committed crimes here, the letter said, cost Americans lots of money.
Last year, more than 360 of "your citizens" spent time in jail "at a cost of $63 a day which equates to a request for payment of $318,843," the letter concluded. "At this time, you will not be billed for medical, dental and transportation costs. Your prompt attention to this request will be very much appreciated.
Note to President Bush: Pay attention to Sheriff Trumbo. He has guts. Try it. Tell Mexico to go pack sand.
Note to Vicente Fox: Pay up. Then take your threat of lawsuits and shove it. I am tired of threats. There is no, repeat NO right to cross illegally. Period.
Of course, it wouldn’t be nearly as ridiculous without the ACLU poking their noses into it:
Note to the ACLU. Shut Up.
I won’t even start on how crazy congress is acting. All I know is this issue gets wilder by the second.
