DNC Supports the Troops…In Canada **Updated**
UPDATES In Line:
No, seriously.
I saw this on Michelle Malkin’s site and looked into it. The picture is real, and the assessment is correct:
A military guy e-mails a weekend website blooper:
Thought you might be interested in posting this. The DNC website has a page called Veterans and Military Families where they purpo[r]t to care about the welfare of US troops. Unfortunately they couldn’t even find a picture of a US soldier to post on the page. The picture in the Get Involved frame is not a US Army uniform. The soldiers in the background are not in a US uniform either.

(UPDATED: The page has been changed to remove the man. See Michelle Malkin for details.)
Looks nice, but the little red lapel pin is the Red Poppy worn by many Canadian’s on Remeberence Day.
Sure, an honest mistake, right? Well considering that the Candian Forces all have Canada embroidered on their shoulders (as below) then one does have to wonder if they noticed it as they cropped it out.
(UPDATE: The original photo for the above was found by LGF and it has two things of note: The man above has a large emblem device on his Beret that has been’shopped out, and his shoulder was never visible, so my accusation was faulty. See a companion picture here.)

I will credit the page designer with an honest mistake, but it is a slap in the face really. I mean it would be easy to make note that the Democrats are all sound and fury regarding the issues surrounding the Military, but they are clueless about the military itself. It would be easy to suggest this is just more disdain.
So I won’t.
Dumb, just dumb.
UPDATE: Day by Day pays tribute to the whole mess. See below.
