Was the bomb a dud or a hoax?

Published by Karl under North Korea

Is Kim Jong Il a fraud?  A Fake?  Was his nuclear test a fraud?

That is the question being raised in some circles.

U.S. doubts Korean test was nuclear

U.S. intelligence agencies say, based on preliminary indications, that North Korea did not produce its first nuclear blast yesterday.

U.S. officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that seismic readings show that the conventional high explosives used to create a chain reaction in a plutonium-based device went off, but that the blast’s readings were shy of a typical nuclear detonation.

Well who knows.  Kim Jong Il is hardly the most stable guy in the world and a hoax is certainly possible.

Why?  To force us to deal as if it was true.

And that really brings up an interesting question.  Should we?  They are demanding 1 on 1 talks.  Why?

I say tell them to pack sand.  Plant a few nukes in Japan and South Korea to maintain balance, and tell him to piss off.

But I am not a diplomat obviously so I am sure cooler heads will prevail.

But it makes me wonder.  Why is the US the pivot person here?  Why do we have to solve this issue?

I thought so many countries resented our position of prominence and arrogance.  So why think we can solve this one?

Let China rein in the little maniac.  They made him.

And already the finger waving has begun, as liberals blame this on Bush, while conservatives point out how Clinton is a contributor.

I blame the UN and China as well, so there is plenty of blame to share.

But all this may be for nothing, if Kim is just playing head games with the world.

Mexico: Stop the fence or we’re gonna tell the UN

Published by Karl under Illegal immigration

The award for the most idiotic empty threat goes to Mexico.

Mexico May Take Fence Dispute to U.N.

Mexico’s foreign secretary said Monday the country may take a dispute over U.S. plans to build a fence on the Mexican border to the United Nations.

Luis Ernesto Derbez told reporters in Paris, his first stop on a European tour, that a legal investigation was under way to determine whether Mexico has a case.

The Mexican government last week sent a diplomatic note to Washington criticizing the plan for 700 miles of new fencing along the border. President-elect Felipe Calderon also denounced the plan, but said it was a bilateral issue that should not be put before the international community.

Derbez said Monday after meeting with French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy that it was a "shame" U.S. immigration policy had been used for what he claimed was a short-term political gain in the lead-up to midterm elections in the U.S. in November.

He said he discussed the issue with Douste-Blazy, and planned to bring it up in meetings with his Spanish and Italian counterparts during visits to Madrid and Rome. He vowed to work on the case until the "very last day" of President Vicente Fox’s term, which ends Dec. 1.

The U.S. Senate approved the border fence bill last month and President Bush has said he will sign it into law _ despite last-minute pleas from the Mexican government for a veto.

"What should be constructed is a bridge in relations between the two countries," Derbez said.

This reminds me of an old Robin Williams line.  Speaking about English police (Bobbys) who do not carry any weapon, he noted that they effectively would say "Stop, or I’ll say stop again!"

That to me is the UN.

So Mexico hates the fence huh?  Too friggin bad.  I am sorry that behind tourism and oil, the money sent to Mexico from illegals in the USA is your third highest gross national product, and a wall and serious border enforcement might hurt that.

Sick sick sick- It’s a baby, not a nightstick.

Published by Karl under Idiots

Stupid people suck.  And should not have kids.

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/10/09/D8KL9F287.html

A woman used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon in a domestic dispute, swinging the infant through the air and striking her boyfriend with the child, authorities said.

The boy was in serious but stable condition Monday at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said.

"Never, never, never. I can never remember anything like this," District Attorney Bradley Foulk told the Erie Times-News.

Chytoria Graham, 27, of Erie, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault. She was held Monday in the Erie County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

The infant, whose name was not released, suffered a fractured skull and some bleeding in the brain, authorities said. His head hit Graham’s boyfriend, the baby’s father, police Lt. Dan Spizarny said.

Authorities removed four other children from Graham’s home and placed them with the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, Foulk said.

Honestly this just aggravates me to no end.  What kind of empty headed idiot is this?

And people wonder why I am cynical?

My God, I am honestly speechless at what the hell possessed this stupid woman to use her child as a club.

I don’t know what to say beyond that.

One of my favorite expressions is "stupid should hurt".   Well it does…it just hurt the wrong person.

Any bets she gets 6 months suspended sentance and some probation?

And her kid back?

IDIOT!

Oh…someone from one of the woman’s rights groups: Explain to me that whole sacred immutable mother child maternal bond thing again?  I didn’t see anything in the Wiki about bonding through assault and  battery.
