I won’t deconstruct it, others will do a much better job.
What I will do is post one excerpt the illustrates that the President does have a realistic view of the enemy we face, and the larger threat it represents. Emphass added. Via Michelle Malkin
In the minds of the terrorists, this war began well before September 11th, and will not end until their radical vision is fulfilled. And these past five years have given us a much clearer view of the nature of this enemy. Al Qaeda and its followers are Sunni extremists, possessed by hatred and commanded by a harsh and narrow ideology. Take almost any principle of civilization, and their goal is the opposite. They preach with threats … instruct with bullets and bombs … and promise paradise for the murder of the innocent.

AIDS group to sue Pfizer over Viagra ads
A major U.S. AIDS treatment group plans to file a lawsuit on Monday that accuses drug giant Pfizer Inc. of illegally promoting recreational use of its blockbuster impotence pill Viagra.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) told Reuters it wants Pfizer to be barred from marketing Viagra as a lifestyle or sexual enhancement drug. The nonprofit organization said Pfizer’s actions had led to risky behavior by men and an increase in HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Uh, unprotected sex is already a risky behavior, yes?
Studies show evidence of recreational Viagra use among men who have sex with men, sometimes to overcome the erection-inhibiting effects of alcohol or street drugs such as ecstasy and crystal methamphetamine, AHF said.
…Also risky behavior…
The suit also requests that Pfizer turn over profits gained from misleading ads and pay AHF’s costs of treating AIDS and other illnesses linked to Viagra use.
Ah, now I get it. Cha-Ching!
Let’s not worry about dealing with bad behavior, let’s blame Viagra.

Here is a great way to build racial understanding and promote equality: Don’t let the white people in.
Black Caucus: Whites Not Allowed
As a white liberal running in a majority African American district, Tennessee Democrat Stephen I. Cohen made a novel pledge on the campaign trail last year: If elected, he would seek to become the first white member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
Now that he’s a freshman in Congress, Cohen has changed his plans. He said he has dropped his bid after several current and former caucus members made it clear to him that whites need not apply.
And he is a liberal white guy at that. But the message s clear: A white liberal is still too white.
Cohen said he became convinced that joining the caucus would be "a social faux pas" after seeing news reports that former Rep. William Lacy Clay Sr., D-Mo., a co-founder of the caucus, had circulated a memo telling members it was "critical" that the group remain "exclusively African-American."
Other members, including the new chairwoman, Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, D-Mich., and Clay’s son, Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mo., agreed.

Welcome to those clicking in from Slate. Read more of my lack of love of Hillary here…if you dare…
She gets it. Loud and clear. Too bad the idiot retreatists (defeatists) are not listening:
Retreat Isn’t an Option
Sen. Hillary Clinton declared this weekend, " I’m in to win." Anyone who has watched her remarkable trajectory can have no doubt that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the presidency. I wish she felt the same way about the war.
You know, that right there is a profound thought all on its own. And it dovetails to Hillary’s former position supporting the war. As long as supporting it was in her political interest, fine. But now that public tide has been swayed by the constant barrage of negative stories and demagoguery, she dumps the war and the troops like an ugly prom date.
In fairness, Clinton, with her proposal for arbitrary caps on troop levels and hemming and hawing about her vote for the war resolution, has company on both sides of the aisle. Sen. Joseph Lieberman is the only national Democrat showing any courage on this issue. We Republicans — with help from senators such as Chuck Hagel — seem ready to race the Democrats to the bottom.

This just illustrates how wacked the church of scientology is, in my opinion.
Tom Cruise: The new “Christ” of Scientology
TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.
The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.
And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.
A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.
“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”
Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ’80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.
This actually echoes something from last spring:
Tom Cruise Either Losing Popularity Or New Jesus Christ
A USA Today/Gallup poll showing that Tom Cruise’s "favorability rating" had tumbled 23 points since last year has induced some of the actor’s best pals to scramble to his defense:
