Anna Nicole Smith
Well the train wreck is over. I am being fairly kind when I say she was a messed up person who amazed us more by what she survived then by what she accomplished.
But that aside, even she deserves some respect, if not for her, for her daughter, who will bear the real brunt of this. She, the child I mean, is now the focal point of one of the highest profile cystody paternity debates, with a little girl as the prize...oh and $474 million dollars.
Anna was at her best a pretty girl. Period. She was the living embodiment of Barbie. She had the figure, got the rich guy, the privilaged lifestyle bleah bleah.
She didn't advocate any sweeping social causes, unless you count weight loss (spokesman), and substance abuse (example).
In the end her contributions to society were naked pictures and her kids.
But still, she was a human, with her own desires and needs, and like the rest of us, she did the best with life as she could.
It is sad because I don't think that the world really ever saw her potential. All we ever saw was the Anna Nicole, we never knew Vicky Lynn.
Rest in peace Vickie Lynn Marshall.
