Monday Funnies: Congressional outrage and resolve
The second one is only half funny…
Feb 25 2007
Al Gore won the Oscar for An Inconvenient Fiction Truth. If anyone acts surprised they are a liar.
So the million dollar question: Has he announced his presidential campaign yet? Not quite…
Hot Air has been running a commentary on it and has clips of note, with digs at his already having been voted president.1
Al wasn’t just a predetermined winner he was also did a little fund raising. DiCaprio tried to talk him into a Campaign announcement and then kissed his feet. Al’s false humility and his joking (starting the “announcement:, stopped by the music…) was inspired acting, he almost looked lifelike.
The Oscars are now fully engaged in global warming, of course. I wonder though, how many of the star’s limos ran on alternative fuel? How many of the stars came in private jets?
And even when he won, the announcer made a GW dig relating Katrina to Global Warming. No matter that the movie was a pack of mis-truths. No matter that Katrina wasn’t even a storm out of place with normal hurricane patterns.
No, ignore that, because the filming was interrupted by a hurricane, in hurricane country, in hurricane season.
Gotcha.
Disgusting.
Oscar down, Nobel next.
Then…the Whitehouse?
