I saw this at several blogs, including Sister Toldjah, and at first I thought it had to be a joke.  It isn't.

We now have, in our culture of uber-sensitivity, abortion sympathy cards:

Do you know someone who’s had an abortion?
Are you having trouble knowing what to say?
Do you want to let them know you care?

Send them an e-card.

Remember, each person’s experience with abortion is unique. These e-cards were created to address the range of experiences people can have with abortion. As you consider which e-card to send, think about the person you are sending it to. What do they need to know? What are they feeling? What message will provide the most comfort?

The group bills itself as an "After Abortion Resource" center.

Exhale was created by and for women who have abortions.  The founders of Exhale — Aspen Baker, Susan Criscione, Carolina De Robertis, Anna Goldstein and Laura Perez — gathered together for the first time, on the floor of a Berkeley apartment, in June 2000. These five women came together because they, or someone they knew, had personally experienced the lack of non-judgmental services available for women and their significant others after an abortion. 

I won't deny that there is a need for after abortion resources, and no I do not mean prosecution for murder.  But being fairly pro life, I have to say the degree of sympathy is, IMHO misplaced.

Your “loss”? How can an abortion be considered a ‘loss’ when the aborted baby isn’t even considered a growing life in the first place and is instead looked upon as a “parasite” or “blob of tissue”? And furthermore, it’s not a “loss” if you choose to abort it.

Sure. If it is not a life, it is not a loss, right?  It is a choice.

One of my frustrations has long been that dissenting opinions regarding Global Warming have been ignored or deliberately stifled by the acolytes of the Holy Consensus. 

Scientists with non conforming research have been denied funding and had their articles rejected by peer review for years.  They have faced death threats and open ridicule, including been held comparable to flat earthers and holocaust deniers.

Finally however the dissenting outcry is starting to be heard, notable with the recent BBC documentary "The Global Warming Swindle".

Danish scientist: Global warming is a myth

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, March 15 (UPI) -- A Danish scientist said the idea of a "global temperature" and global warming is more political than scientific.

University of Copenhagen Professor Bjarne Andresen has analyzed the topic in collaboration with Canadian Professors Christopher Essex from the University of Western Ontario and Ross McKitrick of the University of Guelph.

It is generally assumed the Earth's atmosphere and oceans have grown warmer during the recent 50 years because of an upward trend in the so-called global temperature, which is the result of complex calculations and averaging of air temperature measurements taken around the world.

"It is impossible to talk about a single temperature for something as complicated as the climate of Earth," said Andresen, an expert on thermodynamics. "A temperature can be defined only for a homogeneous system. Furthermore, the climate is not governed by a single temperature. Rather, differences of temperatures drive the processes and create the storms, sea currents, thunder, etc. which make up the climate".

He says the currently used method of determining the global temperature -- and any conclusion drawn from it -- is more political than scientific.

The argument is presented in the Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics.

The argument at its root is common sense. 

No wonder they ignore it.

Face it:  The science is not settle, no matter how many times Gore says so.
