It’s a Democrat eat Democrat campaign for Hillary and Obama
Hillary has rested safe in NY knowing that she would be the Democrats darling in 2008. Watching Kerry blunder in 2004 must have really hurt, but at the time Bush’s numbers were too good for her launch the scheme she has had hiding in her carpetbag for God knows how long.
Her scheme is obvious, to make history as not only the first woman president but the first president to be spouse of a former president.
She had it all planned out, the moderate stance to hide her leftist socialist agendas, the carefully poised role as forgiving wife to Bill’s indiscretions and the money…all that lovely money piling up in her war chest.
Edwards and Kerry were possible rivals, but no one takes Edwards seriously, and he has imploded early, and Kerry bailed. Al Gore and his Global Warming fueled scam was her toughest contender…or so she thought.
She didn’t count on Obama. Obama has replaced her as the darling of Hollywood, the Obama Messiah. People like David Geffen not only embrace the Obamanator, they are actually trash talking Hillary. Geffen who spent millions on the Clinton’s during Bill’s day called her essentially a pathological liar.
He has stayed one step ahead of her from the word go.
And so Obama has roared into the race, breathing fire and rhetoric. And Hillary has been playing catch up, following him to Selma to try and out lie him (he won) and faking the worst phony accent since Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.
Maybe she saw him as a contender to be groomed for her number two man. It is logistically sound, a woman and a black man teaming up nail enough minorities to make it a tough ticket to fight, unless Condi links up with Gulianni.
But she didn’t count on him actually wanting to win as well as his popularity and the amount of loyalty to him directly.
Take this video for example:
Someone edited the Apple ad to put Hillary in the droning drivers seat of the mind control truck.
Brilliant, sassy and professional. Obama of course disavowed any connection, but that is not totally true.
Unmasked: Creator of “1984? anti-Hillary ad is … staffer for Obama consultant
Arianna smoked him out but Ben Smith pinned the tail on the Messiah:
Arianna reports that Philip de Vellis of Blue State Digital created the spot; Blue State works for Obama. A woman who answered the company’s phone confirmed he works there.
But maybe not for long. Also from Smith:
From Obama aide Bill Burton: “The Obama campaign and its employees had no knowledge and had nothing to do with the creation of the ad. We were notified this evening by a vendor of ours, Blue State Digital, that an employee of the company had been involved in the making of this ad. Blue State Digital has separated ties with this individual and we have been assured he did no work on our campaign’s account.”
Bonus fun fact: Blue State Digital was founded by Dean-o’s Internet team, according to Arianna.
I don’t really care about any of this, except that it’ll be fun watching the most conspicuously nice guy in the race explain his association with the nastiest ad of the campaign thus far.
Indeed. The guy lost his job apparently but the stain still sticks, and Hillary’s people will use this no doubt.
And Sister Toldjah spots the grand irony:
I gotta take my hat off to the HuffPo readers who dug for and found this info. It’s refreshing to see them channel all that hatred into something positive for once.
Well most of the irony perhaps. I am certain they expected the trail to lead to Karl Rove.
it is clear that there is a lot of dirty fighting left to be done with those two, sorting out who gets the top bunk as it were.
I still expect them to team for the Democratic Nomination, but right now it’s a coin toss whose name will be first.
But I also have not forgotten Al Gore…he can deny it all he wants, the draft Gore campaign has already been launched.
The Democrats will be gnawing on each other for while, and if the Republicans were smart they would use it. Their only hope of voctory in 2008 is a completely fractured Democrat base.

That guy got fired for this? He created a great ad. I guess their “other customers” may no appreciate it too well.
But this is great for sites like YouTube, and user-gemerated-content as a whole. I mean, this got a large amount of publicity.
The two biggest other attempts at this were the Doritos commercial and the Dove one. The former was ok, but the latter seemed of poor quality — as Shelly Palmer pointed out on his blog. It was a little rough around the edges.
