Mid Week funny but not funny…

In 2004, Lars Mortensen TV-Produktion of Denmark created a documentary about global warming myths entitled “Doomsday Called Off.”
In it, scientists from around the world shared real data and statistics refuting claims by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concerning man’s role in warming the planet (must-see video in five parts available here, here, here, here, and here, grateful h/t to NB member dscott).
Much like the recent British documentary “The Great Global Warming Swindle,” it is almost a metaphysical certitude that this spectacular program will never be aired by American television.
However, CBC in Canada did air it in November 2005. Here’s how it was described at that network’s website (emphasis added):
In this eye-opening documentary viewers will discover how the most respected researchers from all over the world explode the doom and gloom of global warming.
Humans stand accused of having set off a global climate catastrophe by increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
The prophecy of doom is clear and media pass on the message uncritically.
Now serious criticism has arisen from a number of heavyweight independent scientists. They argue that most of the climatic change we have seen is due to natural variations.
They also state that if CO 2 is to play a role at all -it will be minuscule and not catastrophic!
Any questions as to why this documentary, or any skeptical of anthropogenic global warming, won’t be shown any time soon on American television?
So in keeping with my desire to present the less traveled side, here are all five parts:
Make your own mind up.

Survey (actually DNA Tests) says:
Normally in a case like this, a high profile paternity case with Hollywierd ties, my next comment would be “who cares?”
But in this case, I think I do care, to a degree.
Anna was a trainwreck no doubt, but my personal instinct is that Howard K Stern, her lawyer and companion, was riding the switch on her crazy train.
I watch the videos of her interviews and such and it is painfully obvious she was usually stoned or doped or tranqed or on something. And Howard HAD to know, how could he miss it? One video shows him talking to her as she is completely horked, and him joking about it being a shroom trip. All the while she is incoherent, and trying to play with the baby.
What a great legacy he has given Dannielynn: Her mom is the poster child for the Betty Ford clinic, in glorious video as he crows about the money the video is worth.
She was surrounded by people who used her, and fed her chemical happiness. This is not an attempt to excuse her or anything, people make choices.
But I have to point out that in my personal opinion, Stern was totally enabling her and willing to do so till the cows come home..
Larry Birkhead is really the most normal person in the whole circus, and arguably the only hope that child has of leading a normal life. In that respect, it is nice to see the good guy win, and see that Dannielynn may be afforded the happy ending her mother wanted.
By some stroke of chance, the paternity test actually might give custody of the baby to a person who actually cares.
I hope when she is older and she tries to reconcile who she is and who her mom was, she apperciates how normal her dad seems to be.
