Normally I don't follow these celebrity cases, because I'm not much impressed by celebrity. Usually I find the incessant coverage of celebrities by the media to be annoying. Your point about Howard Stern pretty much sums up my attitude about the cult of celebrity. Having read this post, I'm inclined to agree with you though. Hopefully Mr. Birkhead is as normal as you describe him and their daughter will have a chance to grow up free from all of the baggage that comes with celebrity.
