My son- an update- with BIG news

Published by Karl at 2:35 am under OTA, Personal

Despite an impressive effort to make it through basic, his physical injuries have taken their toll, and my son Kris expects to be medically discharged.

He also is unsure of the physical problems are permanent, so healing at home and trying again may not be an option.

We, his friends and family love him and are incredibly proud of the effort he has made to do everything within his power to serve his country.

As a dad, nothing he has ever done has made me more proud.

My son has a gift, a spirit that refuses to lose and insists on success. He will bounce back from this.

But the big news....he wont leave the Navy empty handed.

He got MARRIED last weekend.

Surprise! He gets to go from being a Machinists-mate to being a Machinists-mate's Mate. His bride Stephanie is also Navy.

So this Friday has been pretty wild. I am happy for him, and can't wait to meet my new daughter in law.

And I again thank all of you for sharing in my son's endeavors.
