Come to Seattle and ride the SLUT

Published by Karl at 12:12 am under Local, OTA

No, really.  Only in Seattle would they call their new Trolley line the South Lake Union Trolley, or SLUT.

So yes, everyone come to Seattle and ride the SLUT.

Seattle’s ‘S.L.U.T.’ just a trolley ride

Officially, it’s the South Lake Union Streetcar. But in the neighborhood where the new line runs, it’s called the South Lake Union Trolley — or, the SLUT.

At Kapow! Coffee, a shop in the old Cascade neighborhood, 100 T-shirts bearing the words “Ride the SLUT” sold out in days, and another 100 are on order.

“We’re welcoming the SLUT into the neighborhood,” said Jerry Johnson, 29, a part-time barista.

Some claim — incorrectly, according to representatives of Vulcan Inc., the company that is developing the area — that South Lake Union Trolley was the original name and that it was changed when officials belatedly realized the acronym.

I tried to order from Kapowl Coffee and It was complicated and confusing. So I saw a blog that said donkeyts.com has them in stock ready to ship. I used a coupon code “jamie” and got 20% off plus free shipping. The shirt came in 3 days plus I got to pick the shirt color and type.

Donkey Ts is a fake S.L.U.T. shirt. They are ripping off the original shirts invented by Kapow! Coffee in Seattle. You can get the real shirts exclusively at Kapow! Coffee or online http://www.ridethelsut.com. Don’t be fooled by cheap knockoffs in Ohio! Get the real shirts from the real people at http://www.ridetheslut.com!
