Well not in as many words, but that is the essence of todays show, whether the blustering Mr Schram wants to believe it or not.

According to Schram, he got an email from the mother (Pseudonym Lisa) of a student (Pseudonym Billy) at Maplewood Heights Elementary School.  This mom was aghast at the horrific punishment her child had to endure at school.

Though the child’s actual crime was undisclosed, it surely must have been something horrible to have generated such punishment.

For this unknown crime (I shudder to think that there is a cover up to conceal the facts here) the child was PUBLICLY HUMILIATED!!!

The child - and I forgot to add, the implication was that there were more than one involved - the child was forced during recess to…I don’t know if I should say this out loud…I must, the truth demands to be told…the poor victim (for after all, liberals believe we are ALL victims) was made to stand - YES I said STAND -  against a wall during recess.

My hands are shaking as I write this, such is my outrage.

His time to bond and explore diversity with his peer unit, his chance to exercise and maintain his proper cardio vascular fitness was ROBBED from him, for some trivial punishment, where a stern talking to and perhaps the admonition to be more enlightened and progressive would have been much more efficient.

But I have saved the worst for last.

Dear reader…the child, the poor abused child had to wear a sign around his neck one that showed how many minutes of his recess time he was denied.

It was public shame and humiliation ladies and gentlemen.  It was cruel, and promoted…wait…

Surely the sign had some other humiliation on it?  A stark description of his crime perhaps…(reviews tape…)uh…no…

Um…

So Ken, let me see if I hear you correctly.   According to the pod cast, the sign is for the teachers to know long the student is on the wall for.  The student broke something, and received a 2 day recess suspension.

And according to the mom, these poor kids are crying and humiliated. 

Now…she DIDN’T call the school, because she has had too many issues with the school

Perhaps her son is brat and she has had to try and bail him out too many times.  According to her, he acknowledges he deserved it, and took the punishment “with pride“, it was just the freaking sign, which SHE had the cow about, not him.

According to Ken this is unacceptable humiliation because the kids would make fun of them.  Oh well, that’s the issue then.  Some other kids would see him standing there and see the sign and tease him.

But wait.  Apparently the sign was the issue?  So take the sign away, and the kids still know what is up.  Right? 

Oh but wait again, the judge…I mean Schram says that standing against the wall is the issue.  They should be denied their free time in careful privacy.

Ken claims the kid will be traumatized “for a long time” due to this punishment.

Apparently Schram must be against standing in the corner, sitting in the hall, going to the back of the room etc.

Ken has not apparently considered that keeping them on that wall during recess keeps them under supervision.  That keeping them on the playground but sequestered keeps keeps them under proper control, and for the ones that only are losing a portion of their recess, they can be released to go play at the proper time. To me, this is not cruel, this is fairly minor, appropriate and creative.

No, to Ken, this is cruel punishment.  Apparently, and this is all I can conclude, Ken thinks that our kids are too weak kneed to deal with a little punishment.  

I should note that Ken refused to call the school and get their side of it.

Real fair.

So there you have it.  The nanny state loving Shram-bot cannot conceive that kids can take a little ribbing or teasing when they screw up.   They must have private tolerant gentle punishment.  They must not be made to feel bad for what they do, or even face any scorn.

They are too sensitive, and they would be scarred for years over this degradation of their self esteem.

They frankly cannot handle standing against a wall where other kids can see it.

To Ken, you’re kid is a wimp.
