Obama worship hits a new low

Published by Karl at 2:07 am under Obama mania!

Welcome readers from Yahoo!

Keep it up people, because the more you sink into this kind of insane idol worship, the worse you look.

Kool Aid anyone?

Are You Ready for the Obama National Holiday?

Hey, remember when presidents had to actually lead and accomplish things before having a national holiday named after them? Well, now all you gotta do is be black and show up for the job.

Plans are under way!

Plans are being made to promote a national holiday for Barack Obama, who will become the nation’s 44th president when he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.

“Yes We Can” planning rallies will be at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the downtown McDonald’s restaurant, 1100 Kansas Ave., until Jan. 13. The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama’s honor, to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12 1809.

More reactions from around the web:

Ameripundit:

There’s no national holiday for JFK, Reagan, or even Clinton. Yet people are pushing for a national holiday for a guy that hasn’t even taken office yet? This has gone beyond infatuation; it’s worship.

Michelle Malkin: For heaven’s sake!

Now, remember: If you oppose the Obama National Holiday, you’re a RAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST!

Daily Pundit:

Some things are just beyond parody. The really sad thing is that John McCain and his campaign lost to this pack of deranged autofellators.

Pirate’s Man Your Women:

And what would we call it? Obamamessiah Day? When would it be? His birthday? His ascension day? And, do I need to point this one out - he is still living (Thank goodness). We don’t have holidays in this country for people who are still actively walking around.

Atlas Shrugs:

Don’t get me wrong. Obama taught me a thing or two. First I thought we were not a racist nation, but I learned the hard way that we are a racist nation.

Why? Because if Obambi was white, he never would have gotten elected. The man has no record, no resume, no recommendation (sans terrorists and race baiters). In other words, he was elected because he was black. That’s pathetic and racist.

Flopping Aces:

In the end I believe the only thing the liberals are accomplishing with this embarrassing cult of Obama is setting themselves up for a huge disappointment. What happens when Obama starts to pull back on all those completely insane promises he made? Many will make excuses for him but those on the fringe left will be mighty upset.

Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up.

I think, people have voted not for Obama, but against Bush’s administration…

  2. Druon 10 Nov 2008 at 8:18 am

As a long time republican, I can say that I voted against McCain (and by default, the Republican party) MORE than I voted FOR Obama.

I mean, come on.. McCain wanted to follow Bush II’s policies. No way in hell was I voting for that. Change sometimes has to happen the way a freight train changes the course of a car when the car tries to out run the lights…

If these is not a racist remarks than what is….
I think you all should join the German NPD party, you would fit right in. This Republican white person voted for Sen. Obama for his intellect and his get it done attitude. Can’t let a black man win can’t you without your hate seeping through the edges. While Sarah Palin in her delusions was preparing for her victory speech Sen. Obama was on the phone with Pastor Hunter from Orlando praying for wisdom.
It is because too many people like you have infiltrated the Republican Party many of us are switching to Independent. Keep it up, you will be left only with the rest of your neo- nazi neocon lemmings….as for the rest of us intelligent informed citizen of this great nation we will continue to give our best as public servants to serve our great nation and this president…I bet most of you guys on here never moved a finger in service, beside bitch about liberals and try to degrade others who inspire people, try to make a difference for the betterment of a great nation and sure know how to speak a lot of non sense due to color..reminds me of long days ago in 1938.

THEY WIIL GIVE HIM A HOIDAY IN HIS NAME ALRIGHT, BUT WHEN THAT FREE MONEY DON’T COME. HE’L GO DOWN IN BLACK HISTORY AS ( UNCLE TOM obama ).

  5. Pendyon 10 Nov 2008 at 8:47 am

Why is it that you say anything bad about Obama and you are a racist? That in itself is racist thinking. “You say anything bad about Obama and you’re a racist…” Right… well, lets see if I can steer clear of the race card here and bring up a few things that concern me about him.

    1. He has no record. He has never led anything.
    2. He has yet to satisfactorily prove his birthright to anyone except Factcheck.org, which is owned by a company that Obama sat on the board for. Can you say conflict of interest? His birth certificate is still AWOL. Come on Mr. Obama, when prompted about where he was born, Senator McCain put up ALL of his records. Birth Certificate, medical records and school records. Why cant you do the same? What are you hiding?
    3. If indeed, Barry Soetoro was a student in an Indonesian school, at the time he was he would have had to have been an Indonesian citizen. At that time, you could not hold a dual citizenship in indonesia and go to school there. That means renouncing your american citizenship. The only way he can become a citizen on America then is to become a naturalized citizen and as such can not run for president.
    4. He is willing to sit down and try to negotiate with terrorist nations with no preconditions.
    5. He plans on gutting our defensive capabilities such as new equipment, nuclear weapons and such, laying us wide open for attack by anyone.
    6. He plans on flirting with the second amendment by enacting strict gun control laws.
    7. He speaks of change… ran for a year and a half on that platform. Gee, can anyone tell me what that change will be? He sure hasnt.
    8. Plans on raising taxes while the country is in a recession. The last time that happened under Herbert Hoover, it threw the country into a depression.
    9. He is friends and is backed by William Ayers, a known and self admitted domestic terrorist.

See? There now, I’ve gone and done it. Call me a racist. I said nothing about the color of the man’s skin because it doesn’t matter. His hairbrained policies and intentions DO matter. He will lead this nation to ruin… and we will suffer some of the worst times this country has ever seen.

i am a black woman who kept careful track of election coverage and voted for obama with confidence. as with any president, the wisdom (or foolishness) of this decision will only be shown in the years to come. i am not in favor of a national holiday for him. not now. not yet. all this will do is stir up more resentment among those who worked so hard for the other side. we don’t need more divisiveness between the races or the parties. besides, why distract attention from more important things - the economy, joblessness, the war - by setting obama up as a hero before he’s had a chance to make any real progress? i am shamelessly happy that obama is black. i am even happier that he is the kind of president who could conceivably restore this country’s position as a respected and powerful nation. i’ve no doubt that he will come through for the u.s. when he does, there will be legitimate reasons for a holiday in his name.

  7. johnon 10 Nov 2008 at 8:55 am

I hope president elect Barack Obama frees the gays when he gets in office. Its about tiume a large segment of our society is offered the same everday freedoms the rest of us take for granted.
If people knew the hassle these people suffer on a daily basis they would never be swayed by preachers who realy are looking out for their bottom line.
We lost our son three years ago and he”d be alive today if it werent for the bias and bigotry that killed him.

  8. Karlon 10 Nov 2008 at 9:07 am

    Kitty,

If you are right….if he does such a tremendous job that there is acclaim for his accomplishments, at that time I will endorse the holiday.

Till then, this is just wrong.

  9. Caylaon 10 Nov 2008 at 9:17 am

Its too early for a named holiday for Obama. I had reservations about voting for him but I think he’s going to be a better administrator than McCain — look at how he ran his campaign. So far he seems to be on the ball in getting his chief of staff picked and his transition team is made up of capable people, as was his campaign staff and his advisors. I’m impressed with who he surrounds himself with, brilliant people. And in picking Emmanuel, he’s the opposite personality than Obama, he knows where he needs help. Overall, I’m supporting Obama and hope that those who didn’t vote for him or don’t like him, realize, that he is their president too. For respect of the office, we should be giving him the benefit of the doubt unless something comes along that warrants protest.

  10. samantha tyleron 10 Nov 2008 at 9:46 am

Oh, puh-leez. A few devotees meeting at a Mickey-Dees doth not a national movement make. Obama cannot be held accountable for the actions of his “fan club”; I’m pretty sure he has a few more pressing concerns right now.

  11. Michelleon 10 Nov 2008 at 9:48 am

As Pendy described so well, there are many many many issues with our president elect that people should question, and absolutely none have anything to do with race…but one of my greatest concerns with Obama is the people he chooses to help guide him…it says a lot about a man! And to be honest, Ayers and Wright have nothing on one of Obama’s current (economic, which is laughable) advisors…Ms. Jennifer Granholm. Is he seriously receiving guidance and advice from the leader of the (once great) state of Michigan?? The lone state that has been in a recession for many years while the rest of the country prospered? Is he seriously looking for her guidance on the economy? On the auto industry? She has completely dismantled Michigan’s manufacturing base and our economic welfare! We owned 4 construction and construction related businesses before Granholm stepped into the Governor’s office…we now own 2 and are about to lose one of these. We are also about to lose our home because we have no income. And what did she do while the mass populations of the state were leaving (the one way moves out of our state have increased over 300%)? She increased taxes on small businesses and performed sales tax audits on the entire construction industry looking for money…she’s not even smart enough to know that construction companies are not tax exempt and pay sales tax on all purchases made!! And this is his economic advisor?? He just doesn’t have a clue! But I guess the only good thing about Granholm’s economic policies is that we no longer have small businesses for Obama to tax, and are no longer “rich”…but that threshold changes all the time, so I am not holding my breath! If you want to see what liberal policies will result in for the rest of the country in a few years, just look at what’s happened in Michigan over the past 6 years.

  12. Marinaon 10 Nov 2008 at 9:52 am

I’m a strong supporter of Obama, but I doubt there is any serious movement to give him a national holiday. I think that this is a very small fringe group that the conservatives are getting all worked up about for nothing.

  13. Terry Gon 10 Nov 2008 at 9:58 am

I believe a holiday is the wrong thing to do at this point, and no you are not a racist if you disagree with Obama, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!! Anyone who voted for Mccain was saying “Yes Bush you were right for the last 8 years lets do it for 4 more!!”….LOL!

  14. Scotton 10 Nov 2008 at 9:58 am

    Pendy, as to your concerns…

“1. He has no record. He has never led anything.”

Neither did Lincoln…yet that worked out okay, didn’t it? Technically, Sen. McCain never “led” anything either; he simply had more time-on-the-job than did Sen. Obama. I’d never been a father before last July…but that doesn’t make me ineffective at being a parent. Why not give the guy a chance, before determining that a thin resume equals preordained failure?

“2. What are you hiding?”

He’s not hiding anything; he was born in Hawaii two years after it became a state. Therefore, he’s an American citizen. The reason Sen. McCain has had to come forth with lots of records is because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone…OUTSIDE the U.S. He still qualifies, but only because of some clauses which were grandfathered in AFTER he was born.

“3. If indeed, Barry Soetoro was a student in an Indonesian school, at the time he was he would have had to have been an Indonesian citizen. At that time, you could not hold a dual citizenship in indonesia and go to school there. That means renouncing your american citizenship. The only way he can become a citizen on America then is to become a naturalized citizen and as such can not run for president.”

Speaking of being forthright…where did you get your “facts” about this item? Is it possible that since Obama’s stepfather was Indonesian, Obama could go to school? I’m curious to see where your information about Indonesian citizenship and scholarly requirements comes from.

“4. He is willing to sit down and try to negotiate with terrorist nations with no preconditions.”

You can either keep sticking to this long-ago disputed statement, or you can believe what the candidate himself said: these do not need to be “leader” talks, but can occur at the level of Secretary of State. That’s one of the big reasons we have one…so that conflicting governments can get together BEFORE guns are fired and talk as representatives of their respective leaders. That’s what we WANT, isn’t it? To talk before we kill?

“5. He plans on gutting our defensive capabilities such as new equipment, nuclear weapons and such, laying us wide open for attack by anyone.”

This, in spite of his own acknowledgement that he wants to spend MORE money on body armor and other equipment for the troops? Again: wherever you’re getting your information, it’s not from the actual source you SHOULD be listening to! And, the paranoia exemplified by your fear of being laid wide open for “attack by anyone” is rather pathetic. You’re jumping at shadows.

“6. He plans on flirting with the second amendment by enacting strict gun control laws.”

Yeah? Did he say that? More to the point: do you think YOU ought to be able to own an Uzi? How about an AK-47? I think you can protect your household perfectly fine with a shotgun; there’s no need for the average citizen to have access to fully-automatic, military-grade weapons.

“7. He speaks of change… ran for a year and a half on that platform. Gee, can anyone tell me what that change will be? He sure hasn’t.”

How about a change that sees more Americans insured? How about equal pay for both men and women? How about a big fat tax break for the overwhelming majority of the country? Once again: if you haven’t heard him talk about his changes, then you’re simply not listening TO HIM.

“8. Plans on raising taxes while the country is in a recession. The last time that happened under Herbert Hoover, it threw the country into a depression.”

If you’re wealthy enough that he actually IS going to raise your taxes, then go celebrate. I’m not; I’d rather have the tax BREAK President Obama is going to deliver, which is far more than a President McCain would have done. And it’s nice that you can equate Hoover, a Republican, with the Democratic Obama on tax policy.

“9. He is friends and is backed by William Ayers, a known and self admitted domestic terrorist.”

William Ayers, who killed no one while protesting a war so deeply unpopular that the majority of Americans now believe was completely wrong to get involved in in the first place? Who is now a respected professor of higher education? THAT guy? The better question might be: what did YOU do to protest American action in VietNam?

  15. Ronon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:14 am

I am a black man who voted for John McCain and not for Barack Obama. The reason I did that had nothing to do with the fact that I am a Republican, Democrat, Conservative, or a Liberal. I voted for McCain because I did research, watched ALL of the news channels, and listened to my heart, and I felt that for my future and the future of my children and their safety, security, economic growth, prosperity in America, John McCain was the better candidate for the job. I’m very concerned for my, as well as all of Americas future under the president elect. Don’t get me wrong. As a black man, I would love and treasure the fact that an African American would someday be President of the United States. But the right one. But not this one. This man had SO MANY red flags go up, it’s not even funny. His past associations, his record (what record) as a Senator, his extreme views on national security, his plans to increase taxes when a third grader knows that that would be suicide to the economy, and most importantly, his background. I know NOTHING about his place of birth, his schooling, his health background, his wife’s background (trust me, she has had, and will continue to have a big influence on his life). He’s continuously avoided any questions that has to do with anything in his past. If this person were white, there would have been no way in hell they would have been elected to that office. And to vote for him strictly on the basis of him being black goes against anything that I was taught. You have to earn the position of leading this country. You have to open your life up to investigation and scrutiny, and not to be given the most powerful position in the world just because of race or because you want change. I mean, yeah, there are things that happened in the Bush administration that as an American I wish would not have happened. He made some bad decisions along the way, but I’m looking towards the future, and McCain definitely would have provided a better future for us Americans considering the alternative we have now. I’m sure he would not have repeated past mistakes. I’m going to end this by saying that ALL eyes are now on Obama. And for the sake of America and for the honor of being the first African American President of the United States, I pray he has a legacy that will be talked about because he does a good job as our President, and not because he’s a black man who screwed up.

  16. clintonon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:21 am

A national holiday for a candidate who hasn’t even taken office is ridiculous. Just because he is black is not reason enough to even suggest this. Those calling for an obama national holiday are probably those naive supporters who voted for him. I think he is the most overrated politician to have ever been elected President. His “Yes We Can” speech will quickly turn into “No We Can’t”. His election may have opened doors for other minorities to dream, but his failure will wake everyone up from nothing more than a socialist nightmare. But if we must, why don’t we make Black Friday an obama holiday? … that way, I get to have a day off for the christmas holiday sale.

  17. georgeon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:21 am

There is no more truth to the national holiday for Obama than there is to the rumor that he is muslim. After 8 years of catastrophic policies that have morally and financially bankrupted the country, let’s give the guy a chance. I know Limbaugh, Hannity, and O’Reilly disagree, but maybe it’s time to start thinking critically and not just repeating what these idiots say. After all, they have a vested financial interest in keeping America divided and ignorant.

  18. Joeon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:22 am

    Wow!

All some right wing wacko has to do is float out this suggestion of an Obama holiday and conservatives predictably go into a tail-spin.

No wonder cheer leaders like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity make so much money off you guys. You believe everything you hear from them, no matter how many times they are wrong!

Keep worrying about Obama holidays and dangerous conservative crises like that. It’ll keep you busy while the rest of us try to clean up your mess.

  19. joseon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:31 am

A national obama holiday? … Simply absurd. Why is it even talked about? And who cares what kinda dog obama is going to get for his daughters? … what a waste of taxpayer money? Doesn’t he have an economy to worry about, or is he still thinking this whole thing is a dream?

  20. lizon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:35 am

I do not have any problem with having Obama National Day, I don’t think its racist, just the fact that he is the first black president should be good enough reason to have this day. This is a big change in history and in the world.

  21. Jftpon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:41 am

I’m with Joe on this one. You nutty right wingers can go gibber in the corner about stupid rumors like this; just get out of our way.

This is exactly why Repubs lost the election and this is exactly why conservatives are losing their base. They are paranoid, negative, and fearful to the point of absurdity just when the country is desperate for optimism and a can-do attitude. As many rumors as they make up, it’s like being in middle school all over again.

Come on, grow up, roll up your sleeves, and be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Obama may not be the perfect president, but he’ll probably be a heck of a lot better than Bush was. Let’s all work together to take care of our country and our people.

  22. Give me a breakon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:46 am

For Emma Jones, give me a break. If you don’t think Obama got votes BECAUSE he was black, then you are not very well informed or just plain old ignorant. Please make sure you listen to these interviews with “informed” Obama supporters who you think voted on the issues:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCcHzUmVP5c

This was all about race, with people voting FOR him simply because he was black, and having no idea where he stood on policy, just as there were people who voted against him because he was black, who also had no idea where he stood on policy. Get real.

56 million people did not think he had the qualifications to be President of the United States vs. 64 million people who did. Not exactly a landslide, and definitely still a divided nation, probably more so than before.

  23. Donnieon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:48 am

There is already a holiday for the president. Obama is not concern about a holiday.

  24. Forever Texanon 10 Nov 2008 at 10:52 am

Okay…you guys had me until the Kool Aid anyone comment? What the heck does that mean? I am an African American who did not vote for Obama- cause I vote my values, not my race. And I must admit I thought the national holiday thing was a joke. Yes, this worship is getting out of hand- but somebody needs to tell me what’s up with the racist undertones- Kool Aid anyone? That is just mean and turns people like me wayyyy off.

  26. jason walkeron 10 Nov 2008 at 11:04 am

Just cause Mccain was a prisoner of war dont make him qualified. And Palin wasnt governor of alaska long. If john mccain died, could palin handle terrorism? Plus Mccain was talking bout staying in Iraq until victory. Victory of what? If american people are in a religious war, what side are we on? The soldiers are nothing but the police in Iraq, and they got Iraqui police over there. How many more soldiers have to die for people to realize that. How many more $50 dollar KBR plates per person, does the government have to spend? McCain was talkin bout Democrats with senseless spending, what kinda spending did Bush do? Trillion dollar war, Bailout. It sickens me that he can spend all that money overseas and Washington DC has one of the biggest homeless rates in the world. People say that black people are racist if they all voted for Obama. But what if all the white people voted for McCain? The fact is..there wasnt enough votes for Bush Policy number 3. The democrats are the only ones making sense. The only reasons why they wont end the Iraq war is cause contractors are making billions over there. Most of the rich people got shares in those contracts like (KBR, Blackwater, Titan, etc.), and as long as they can continue the cashflow the war will go on..no matter how many people DIE. How can the American people vote to send thier 19 year old brother, son, or husband, over there to die over a religious war?? All the Iraq war is and ever will be is a personal beef Bush had against Saddam Hussien for tryin to whack his daddy. To bad that kids who wasnt even a year after graduating high school had to be buried in a box over lies.

  27. Finrodon 10 Nov 2008 at 11:08 am

Once more, I wonder at the the insanity of this country. A national holiday for Obama? Awww, c’mon, be real. He just GOT into office. Let the man prove himself, and then, and only then, should his record be a talking point. As for all the folks shooting him down, I just wanna ask, how many of YOUR relatives are enlisted? Fighting in Vietnam II? Coming home injured, or not coming home at all? If we wanted to declare war on terror nations, why didn’t George the Brave send troops to IRAN? A country with a terror agenda, which has hated america since the ’70’s, which has taken hostage our citizens, and been the loudest anti American voice in the region for decades, a nation SO hostile, we sent supplies and training to ( of all countries ) IRAQ, to help them in their war against Iran! How many of us under 50 can remember that!
A lot of voices say that if a white man had been running against McCain, he would have lost. I say, that Hillary could have beaten McCain if she had gotten the nod. Then, it would have been “anti-feminist” to talk about her! Face the facts, folks. ANYBODY Democrat could have beaten the Republican party this year. The only reason it was even close, is because a lot of people weren’t prepared for a black president! I am black, and I have white friends and co-workers who weren’t ashamed to make that comment out loud! Ditto for the Indian and Spanish and Asians in my circle! I think that the folks crying about Obama’s win aren’t prepared to move on, and not let race be a consideration when talking about a QUALIFIED person. John F. Kennedy wasn’t “experienced”, yet he remains one of our most revered and respected presidents to this day! And he made his share of mistakes! You guys just need to get over it, and let Obama do his thing. At the end of the term, vote against him if you don’t feel he’s done a good job. Of course, he can’t do much worse than George, and this country chose a warmonger TWICE, rather than admit he was wrong, and invaded the WRONG country! If stopping terror was his thing, why no surge in Afghanistan? Why not go to war with Iran?

Kool-aid was a reference to following a cult blindly. If you drink the Kool-aid, which is poisoned, you get to die with the rest of the cult.

On a different note, does anyone feel mildly silly?

  29. Ianon 10 Nov 2008 at 11:21 am

I am extremely fearful for our future of our great Nation. I simply can not put into words the obvious problems we are going to face in the next four years. Professor Obama has smokescreened and evaded all topics that may have harmed his chance at winning this election while reidderating “HOPE” and “CHANGE” without the backing of any facts.
This has been an election in which the liberals were able to find an incredible public speaker and capitalize on his race, age and marketability. Why has everyone given this public speaker a free pass on the state of his state (ILL) which is in terrible economic shape?? Professor Obama has already chosen sereval members from states such as Michigan who are in possibily worse condition than any other. What makes us think he is going to be able to run this nation?? Is it his track record? Is it his forthright and honest approach? Views on the role of government and taxation?

Scott, You did a great job replying to Pendy’s ridiculous points. Pendy obviously hasn’t listened to anything Obama has said or done and hasn’t done her own homework.

As for the rest of the idiots that actually think there is any movement to have a national holiday named after Obama, then you need to leave the planet earth. If you believe that crap then I’ve got some swamp land I want to sell you.

You people with a 3rd grade education don’t see that you’re listening to and following the lies of people who are real brave and real stupid behind a computer and keyboard, but can’t actually offer you factual information or a solution to any problems you or anybody else in this country is facing.

Barack Obama isn’t the cause of the problems you are facing. However, he at least stepped up to the plate to try to offer the people of this country a solution to come of their problems.

If you had a solution to the world’s problems, then why didn’t you run for president? 2012 is just around the corner. If any of you ignorant people decide to try to run the country I’d like a heads up, so I can leave this planet because you’ll have all of us going straight to hell.

Finrod … Let me ask you: Why would George Bush send troops into Iran when obama will negotiate with them? Thanks to you and other obama supporters, Iran will soon get a new nuclear toy to play with. Did you see his smile and nuclear eyes when he found out obama would be president?

I am extremely fearful for our future of our great Nation. I simply can not put into words the obvious problems we are going to face in the next four years. Professor Obama has smokescreened and evaded all topics that may have harmed his chance at winning this election while reidderating “HOPE” and “CHANGE” without the backing of any facts.

This has been an election in which the liberals were able to find an incredible public speaker and capitalize on his race, age and marketability. Can anyone explain to me why we have given this public speaker (for lack of a more fitting title) a free pass on the state of his state (ILL) which is in terrible economic shape??

Professor Obama has already chosen sereval members from states such as Michigan, Illinois, etc. who are in possibily worse condition than any other. What makes us think he is going to be able to run this nation?? Is it his track record? Is it his forthright and honest approach? His views on the role of government and taxation? I honestly appreciate everyones passion and drive to make the United States of America the best nation it can be but people, we need to do our homework before deciding on if “CHANGE” is for better or for worse.

I applaud Mr. Obama on rallying together enough dirty money and votes to win this election however I reserve judgement to see if his “CHANGE” and “HOPE” were anything more than hype to fault him into the powerful position he obviously so desperately craves.

To those who believe this is just a foolish rumour, the fact is that it was initially reported independently of bloggers and the bloggers are just reporting it based on that.

We didn’t make it up. Don’t shoot the messenger simply because your chosen guy inspires goofy levels of adulation and worship, and we feel compelled to point it out.

An obama holiday? … give me a break. If he can do what Martin Luther King had done to impact the US on a national level, then give him a holiday. He is no King, so stop worshipping him as such. Give the obama supporters a national holiday and then what? … paint the white house black and call it the black house. Naive suggestion at best. Stop dreaming already and come back to reality.

It’s true that being a prisoner of war does not qualify you for the presidency. But how many years of experience does obama have vs. McCain? I rest my case. If anything else, McCain loves his country, and what does obama have to show for that? … his wife Michelle, who is proud to be an American for the first time in her life. And who’s to say that McCain will do as worse as Bush if he was elected or that obama would do much better? That we will never know will we?… so stop asking what if.

The american public will give obama 4 years to improve the economy … if the country plunges into a depression and terrorism propers, he won’t be re-elected!! He will then become an afterthought … just another politician who can’t walk the talk. When was the last time we ever trusted a politician, much less a politician and attorney??

You are all tainted by the media, who overwhelmingly supported obama and wanted him to win. The folks at Washington Post just came out and admitted that. Damn media … what ever happened to impartial reporting?

Obama holiday is laughable at the moment. A street name sounds more reasonable. Stop blaming bush for the economic problems … it’s getting old already. And stop talking about hell these past 8 years? … seriously, have you guys been to hell? Well, we’ll get closer to hell if obama doesn’t reverse his stand on negotiating with terrorists. When is it ever morally and intellectually sane to talk with people who want to kill you, your wife and children, and your ideology. How can you in the right mind trust what terrorists or rogue leaders say, no matter what they offer on the bargaining table?

My predictions for the next 4 years:
    1. The economy gets worse early next year and then shows signs of improving towards the end of the obama administration. The public will not have much patience, and it may be too little too late.

    2. Iran and maybe North Korea finally have their nuclear bomb.

    3. More government spending to finance obama’s initiatives — universal healthcare, greener economy, etc. To those middle class who think they are getting a tax cut, you are in for a rude awakening. Besides, obama is already retracting his statement of raising the corporate taxes.

    4. Russia positions itself for an invasion into Georgia. It’s looking to deploy missiles in Poland, signs of a defiant Russia. What’s next for them?

How long is it going to take everybody to realize that Barak Hussein Obama is

not the first black President. He is a White/Kenyan, or, Kenyan/White (So no one can cry racist) man.

So he is the first White/Kenyan, or Kenyan/White President. Duh !!!
