NY Times: Not just in the tank for Obama, they actually own the tank
If the previous blog did not show the truth of the NY Times editorial board’s complete lack of objectivity, here are a few follow on links.
First, consider they are publishing a book basking in his accomplishments, which is actually the least of their bias, as every liberal on earth is trying to do the same.
(Far be it for me to accuse them of cashing in on the Obama money train….)
No, they show it by granting Bill Ayers editorial space for his lame and weak denials of any wrong doing in the terrorist attacks by his organization.
Feeling the need to rebut the lies, an FBI agent who had infiltrated the group penned a rebuttal Op Ed, only to have it, unsurprisingly, rejected.
Yes, allow a criminal terrorist to lie on your editorial page, but deny a law enforcement agent to speak of his actual crimes.
There you see the true bias of the Grey Lady. So far in the tank for Obama and liberalism that they own the tank.

On December 5, the New York Times afforded former domestic terrorist Bill Ayers a chance to publish an op-ed, in which he defends himself from various charges made during the 2008 presidential campaign. That Ayers was given such an opportunity by the Times seems extraordinary; Barack Obama’s other mentors, former pastor Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger, were subjected to as much public scrutiny as Ayers for their extremist politics and multi-decade associations with the president-elect, and yet it seems only Ayers was presented editorial space in the Times to defend himself. Perhaps even more extraordinary, however, is that the Times allowed Ayers to publish obvious lies about his terrorist past and rejected a rebuttal by the former FBI informant who lived through the history Ayers tried to rewrite.
Ayers claimed in his fantasy that:
I never killed or injured anyone. I did join the civil rights movement in the mid-1960s, and later resisted the draft and was arrested in nonviolent demonstrations. I became a full-time antiwar organizer for Students for a Democratic Society. In 1970, I co-founded the Weather Underground, an organization that was created after an accidental explosion that claimed the lives of three of our comrades in Greenwich Village. The Weather Underground went on to take responsibility for placing several small bombs in empty offices — the ones at the Pentagon and the United States Capitol were the most notorious — as an illegal and unpopular war consumed the nation.

Ayers’ editorial was poorly written fiction, a fact that perhaps Larry Grathwohl knows better than anyone. Grathwohl was the only informant to successfully penetrate the Underground for the FBI and personally lived through the history Ayers so desperately desires to rewrite.
In hopes of correcting the lies that Ayers put in print, Grathwohl twice submitted an op-ed of his own to the Times to rebut Ayers. The editors rejected Grathwohl’s op-ed, stating in a curt December 12 email:

My name is Larry Grathwohl and I infiltrated the Weather Underground for the FBI. I had no idea when my journey began in August 1969 that I would see and experience the degree of violence and hatred of our democracy that existed in the Weather Underground.

… Bill is simply not being truthful and is rewriting history to reflect a completely different role for himself and the Weather Underground from what actually took place. “Bring the war home, kill your parents” was the mantra being chanted when the group decided to go underground in December 1969 and there certainly isn’t anything anti-war in that statement.

…The explosion of the townhouse in Greenwich Village was the result of a bomb factory which was preparing bombs containing roofing nails for use at a Fort Dix enlisted club. The inclusion of roofing nails can have but one purpose and that’s to injure or kill people. Prior to this event Bill’s wife, Bernardine Dorhn, placed a bomb of the same design at the Park Police Station in San Francisco and killed Officer McDonnell.
Well, now we can see what kind of values and behavior the NY Times admires…Not that I had much doubt. the NY Times long ago lost all credibility and appearance of impartiality.
Why don’t they end the pretense and rename their paper to The Obama Daily News, or perhaps the New Liberal Times?

ROADMAP TO ADDRESS THE LOOMING CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS:
Since the Supreme Court has now prevented itself from acknowledging the question of whether Barack H. Obama is or is not an Article II “natural born citizen” based on the Kenyan/British citizenship of Barack Obama’s father at the time of his birth (irrespective of whether Barack Obama is deemed a “citizen” born in Hawaii or otherwise) as a prerequisite to qualifying to serve as President of the United States under the Constitution — the Court having done so at least three times and counting, first before the Nov 4 general election and twice before the Dec 15 vote of the College of Electors — it would seem appropriate, if not necessary, for all Executive Branch departments and agencies to secure advance formal advice from the United States Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel as to how to respond to expected inquiries from federal employees who are pledged to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States” as to whether they are governed by laws, regulations, orders and directives issued under Mr. Obama during such periods that said employees, by the weight of existing legal authority and prior to a decision by the Supreme Court, believe in good faith that Mr. Obama is not an Article II “natural born citizen”.
Moreover, each and every member of Congress should be notified that he or she is personally liable (can be sued) for his or her own failure, or the same in conspiracy with other members, to perform what is a ministerial and constitutional duty, that is, to require and/or insist that Presidential electoral votes only be counted for candidates who are “natural born citizens” under Article II of the United States Constitution, the failure of which creates a cause of action for deprivation of claimants’ constitutional rights (as allowed under the Bivens case) against employees of the Federal Government, in this case, to a lawful President and Commander in Chief, and therefore, for deprivation of adequate continuation of the United States as a Constitutional Republic. The constitutionally tortious conduct is not subject to congressional immunity and would be the jettison of Article II of the Constitution by failure to stop and/or object to the counting of electoral votes for Barack H. Obama who has admitted that at the time of his birth his father was a Kenyan/British citizen and not a citizen of the United States of America.
Finally, if 1/20/09 comes and goes with a usurper in the Whitehouse (that is, Obama is definitely NOT an Article II “natural born citizen” — dad Kenyan/British citizen at BHO’s birth — albeit he MAY be a 14th Amendment “citizen”) with usurper enablers in Congress and the Supreme Court … God help us because many of the people will — rightfully and under our Constitution and Declaration of Independence — endeavor through other means to take back the Government from what is nothing less than a non-constitutional coup d’etat. (SCOTUS now does have the power to forestall that grim yet inevitable scenario, otherwise the blood and possible loss of our Constitutional Republic is SQUARELY ON THEIR HEADS.)
I don’t think many are surprised by the media’s being in the tank for Obama and the left. I’m even less surprised that major media outlets have lost all pretense of objectivity or even honor.
What does surprise me is how little so many people seem to care about it. It seems we’d all rather read news that fits our world view than learn about what really goes on in the world. This isn’t just a malady on the left either. I know that I often have to force myself to read the things the fishwrappers are publishing, because it’s so hard to accept the drivel they do publish.
It’s almost as bad trying to get past some of the blatant leftism in the media for conservatives as it is for liberals to accept anything published by Fox News. Sagging sales in print media might be reflective of this, but I think that the real problem is public apathy. People don’t care enough to read (and pay for) news they aren’t personally involved in — unless it’s sensationalism.
Sometimes I wonder if maybe we will see a new Constitutional Convention take place and watch as our country is radically transformed into a mirror image of Euro-socialism — with no recourse for the people, because no one but the political hacks is paying attention. We worry about certificates of live birth (or is it certifications), while our politicians steadily erode and ignore the rest of the Constitution. Rather than getting engaged in such technical political sophistry, we really need to be paying attention to what the people we’ve elected are doing and hold them to account.
But that’s too hard. It takes work to filter out the bias. It takes work to find out what the old grey lady won’t tell us. If we’re responsible though, we need to keep digging. Thanks for a great post Karl!

Had to get that one in, OK? And Stephanie Bergmann over at KSN 3 is close behind. And we will let the folks decide on Cindy Close at KWCH. She used to be at CNN on Headline News, working for that Sagacious Mind, Ted Turner. Makes one go, Hmmmmmmmmm…….
I feel sorry for you Karl, I saw Jean Enerson about 3 years ago when I was dumping rock on the old Great Northern from Everett to Sky. Yikes!!!!!!!!!! A scary old liberal broad.
