Massive Tea Party Link Round Up

Published by Karl at 12:33 am under Tea Parties, civil rights, free speech

I could not make any of the local Tea Parties, to my great disappointment.

So rather than try and express my own thoughts, I collected links from the day, via Memeorandum.

These links are the good, the bad, the positive and the negative and the fair and the biased.  Browse to your hearts content.

My only comment is that the tea parties made a huge impact, not just on the people bragging about them, but also on the liberals belittling them.

In other words…they worked. I have rarely seen this many links on a single topic…

It didn’t promote them! — This was a popular theme, along with references to images of President Obama’s bow to the King of Saudi Arabia.

We mostly paid attention to the teabagging tempest because it cracked us up every time conservatives referred to teabagging, teabagging the whitehouse, and themselves as teabaggers. Call us juvenile if you like, but seeing righties trip on the proverbial banana peel over and over and over again provided endless hours of amusement.

Other than that, the bare thousands that actually showed up were barely a ripple in the political swimming pool.

    Mrs W,

Interrestingly I can only find liberals who are using the term teabagging.

I do find it strangly intriguing just where your minds are at…conservatives think of the constitution and abuse of power, and you think of sex.

    Isn’t that interesting?

Are you really so stupid that you can’t tell that you’re being laughed at? Or are you just trying to play it off like nobody will notice?

We liberals wish you all would teabag each other every single day.

    hahahahaa!

  4. Karlon 16 Apr 2009 at 7:28 pm

If the media was really interesting in reporting it honestly they would have to admit that 850K people nationally participated.

And unlike the anti war protesters they fawned over for many years, the conservatives were, by a vast majority, peaceful and respectful.

    Again…isn’t that interesting?

But mock away, not like you hurt my feelings any. I believe in the right to assemble and protest. Yesterday was a triumph of constitutional freedom even if you cannot stomach the cause.

Oh god yes! The teabaggers scored a huge win! Did you happen to see Philly? Those liberals were totally sacked at LOVE Park!

  7. joe from Lowellon 17 Apr 2009 at 5:00 am

This is what passes for success among movement conservatism these days? People actually notice when you do something?

There were individual anti-war marches in 2003 that had more attendees than the entire national turnout of the tea parties.

This post reminds me of the people telling me I was panicked about Sarah Palin in September 2008. Right. Sure I was. You’ve got us right where you want us.

P.S. - Please nominate her for president in 2012. Please? Pretty Please?
