The first video that caught my eye was the wedding party entrance video.  As one Youtube commenter said, “all weddings should be this fun”.

I agree.  I hope they keep this sense of fun and joy forever.  Blessings to Jill and Kevin.

The second video is a bit harder to parse.  This video of the Santa Cruz City Council is certainly funny, and one would expect it to be a spoof.  It is not.  Those people really are that wacko.

And yet, despite the humour, that meeting is a triumph and testament for Democracy.  Everyone there has a voice.  Their words may be ridiculous, and I am sure SNL or someone will eventually lampoon it. 

But, my hat still goes off to the City Council for allowing all voices to be heard in their open forum, no matter how silly they are.

A lot of people are mocking it, and rightly so, but at the same time, in a strange way, it should be celebrated.
