To every parent who has a child with a learning problem.I think this is taking up valuable time from kiindergarten children who are all ready off to a bad start. I think this time spent would have been better spent working on reading.my grandson has ADHD and would realy benfit on one to one help to help get him up to date. How about putting some of that money you giving out to the children with problems that are be on there control, like abuse victiems that have learning problems afterward. I don't think your speech was meant for younger children,if you would like to talk to them you better get down on there level and use cartoons as most of them don't even know who Mike Jorden is. The rest of the speech seemed alright just not for young children.

The speech would be all right if he were delivering it only to the older students, but kindergarten students get real. It is above both their heads and attention span level. All the kids are going to come away with is that if you screw up you can still succeed. Is that going to be informational to them or give them a built in excuse to mess up? Another thing, if it is true like he says, and teachers and parents are doing everything they can to insure the quality of education, then why doesn't he leave it to the educators and parents. Here is a man who won't even release his own scholastic records and he is telling kids how to succeed and that they should keep records of their progress. This is the guy whose attention span seems to be at a level where he voted present many times while in the Senate. I think our President Obama is the one who needs schooling in paying attention. Flowery speech and drama are going to get old and he is going to have to prove himself and then he can talk to the school children.
