The audacity of ACORN (and those who expose them)
So the whole ACORN pimp scandal is not going away. For those not paying attention, two people posing as a pimp and his whore have been seeking tax advice from ACORN all across the nation. It began in Baltimore, then DC, then New York and on to two locations in Southern California.
Dressed to validate every b movie stereotype, and making their story more and more outrageous (the pimp is going to run for office, and they are importing underage sex slaves from El Salvador) the pair still was never refused. ACORN workers advised them to hide the ill gotten gains in a coffee can in the backyard, schooled the pimp on deniability and even found a way to make the sex slaves dependents for tax purposes.
Congress had removed their funding for now, the Census Bureau and the IRS have cut all ties but many congressman still defend them…if they even admit to having heard of the scandal in the first place.
The most absurd thing has been the lawsuit filed by ACORN for defamation against the pair. Apparently exposing you as the slimes you are based solely on your own words, on video, counts as defamation.
The AP published a fairly detailed expose on the pair, but despite their efforts to connect them to a right wing money machine, they were unable to. The pair had a shoestring budget of $1300 and grandmas fur coat.
Hot Air makes a great point here:
Turns out there isn’t one, but let’s say there had been. Let’s say Breitbart, Glenn Beck, and Roger Ailes had masterminded the whole thing and bankrolled it with a grant from Heritage or some other right-wing think tank. So what? How does that “complicate” the fact that they’ve got ACORN people on video conspiring to cover up child sex slavery
Exactly. The AP like many in the media will focus on the shadowy motives of O’Keefe and Giles and ignore the sleaze they uncovered. NBC calls it entrapment and the NY Times concludes it is just a partisan attack.
No, it’s an exposure of ciminal fraud.
Over at Biggovernment.com Mike Flynn gives us a recap.
But for the real truth behind this, we go to faux journalist Jon Stewart who accurately shows where the outrage should be focused.

And Jon was also wrong about the voter fraud allegations, but hey, you can’t have everything.
